Fourth of July Celebration at Bingen Point

The Port of Klickitat is glad to host the 4th of July DIY Fireworks event from 8 pm to 11 pm. This event would not be possible with out the support of the Bingen Fire Department, Appleton Fire Department, City of Bingen Public Works, City of White Salmon Public Works, the Bingen-White Salmon Police Dept, EMS, and the Klickitat County Reserve Deputies. Thank you to all of our volunteers.

The Port of Klickitat and the Cities of Bingen and White Salmon are working cooperatively to provide a safe designated area for residents to enjoy and use their fireworks. This area will reduce the threat of fire and injury to the citizens throughout both cities.

The information is provided to help you, your family and friends, and all those around you be safe.

Below is the current legal information regarding fireworks, as well as information to help you enjoy the fireworks, or set off fireworks at the Bingen Point.

Important Laws and Rules

Laws and rules are in place to keep people and property safe. Violations can result in confiscation of your fireworks, citations, arrest, or removal from Port property. Please be responsible. 

·         Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.  

·         Pets are not permitted at this event.

Unlawful Discharge or Use of Fireworks

It is unlawful to discharge or use a firework in a reckless manner which creates a risk of death or injury to another person or damage to another’s property.

Fan Cake style fireworks are also prohibited for this event. 

Littering

It is unlawful to litter. Please use the dumpster provided.

Prohibited Items

Alcohol, drugs, and weapons are not permitted on Port property.

All other laws will be enforced. Again, it is important that everyone who comes to the Port follow all rules and laws. We want to enjoy this event and ensure we can enjoy Fourth of July celebrations in future years.

Fireworks may be used between 8pm and 11pm only.
