Terminal Facilities
The Port of Klickitat operates a small terminal facility at its Dallesport Industrial Park. The terminal is located immediately east of the entrance to The Dalles Dam navigation lock at river mile 192. An adjacent terminal yard is available for short-term storage of incoming or outgoing cargo. The dock apron is asphalt and the berthing space is 300 feet. Wharfage and dockage rates apply.

Port plans include the future establishment of a small intermodal container facility complete with mobile harbor crane, reach stacker, side-lift 20-foot to 45-foot container trailer (for local container pickup and delivery), and power hookups for reefers to serve local and regional markets. However, demand for such facilities must go hand-in-hand with developing them. If you currently use intermodal containers to import materials or export finished goods, have considered using intermodal containers, or would like more information on containerized shipping in general, please contact us.
The Port supports the establishment of Short Sea Shipping service along the west coast, connecting large international ports such as Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, and Los Angeles/Long Beach with the smaller ports of the Mid-Columbia and Lower Snake regions.
